We spearheaded the endeavor that resulted in the Environmental Leadership Development Project (ELDP) designation for 8150 Sunset Blvd, marking it as the inaugural project in Southern California to receive this distinction. This achievement was realized through direct collaboration with Governor Jerry Brown’s office, the Joint Legislative Budget Committee, and the Office of Planning and Research. In 2013, I effectively championed the inclusion of precise wording in a budget trailer bill, securing the extension of the program. This advocacy was crucial for extending the program through 2016.

Tasked with revolutionizing the execution of commercial real estate transactions for a prominent leasing firm, we successfully charted the policy's strategic direction. I pinpointed a key advocate within the state legislature, assembled a dedicated team focused on the matter, and steered us toward the most impactful strategy.

To achieve this, we engaged with environmental groups, ensuring their stance remained neutral or "soft opposed" in this highly politicized and visible policy area. Additionally, I mobilized influential labor groups, leveraging their political strength to advocate for the policy's advancement.

The dissolution of the Redevelopment Agencies by the Budget Act of 2011 left numerous cities and developers in a difficult position, urgently seeking guidance to complete projects, transfer funds to successor agencies, and ensure timely completion. This situation necessitated an individual capable of navigating the organization of successor agencies, understanding the Department of Finance's public policy goals, and efficiently executing the necessary steps. Wendy Mitchell Consulting took on this challenge, successfully maneuvering through the complex landscape and achieving a positive outcome.

By facilitating a meeting outside the Capitol between the two parties, I successfully encouraged dialogue about their common objectives and the agency's future prospects.
